MadCAP Company M
Company M is MadCAP's premier Performance
Ensemble. This ensemble is open to students currently in high school.
Participation requires a commitment to attend ensemble rehearsals, private
lessons, and small group study. Over the course of the year, Company M
students plan and produce a season of musical theatre performances in
concert. During the upcoming school year, two of the concerts will take place
in Promenade Hall at the Overture Center. Additionally, Ensemble Members
are invited to serve as interns on production teams for MadCAP's Theatre
for Young Audiences and
School of the Arts theatre productions.
Company M performers set individual goals and
study acting moments, movement, and music on their own time and be fully
prepared for each rehearsal. This ensemble demands a level of excellence and
diligence both in rehearsal and in personal preparation for rehearsal, as a
great deal of responsibility rests with individual Ensemble Members. Company M
members are required to enroll in private music and/or acting instruction at
an additional cost.
This year Company M will travel to
Orlando, Florida to perform in Walt Disney World at the Galaxy Palace
Theatre. The tour will take place in March of 2009. Company M members
assist in planning this tour. They travel as a group, stay together in a
Disney resort, and will have a featured performance on a main stage. Click
