It’s
Princess Aurora’s sixteenth birthday, and Flora, Fauna and Merryweather
must use their fairy magic to save her from the spell of evil sorceress
Maleficent! This classic fairy tale told Disney-style is filled with
feature roles, from King Stefan and Queen Stefanie’s Loyal Subjects to
Maleficent’s slimy Goons.
With a score
featuring the beloved Tchaikovsky theme, this show based on the classic
Disney animated feature is sure to please. Everyone will want to sing and
dance along to the classic “Once Upon a Dream” and fun new numbers like
“Goon Conga” and “Let’s Have Some Magic Now.”

Shakespeare’s classic tale of ambition, betrayal,
and witchcraft follows Macbeth’s
bloody rise to the throne of Scotland and his
resulting death. For this production
MadCAP will be replacing the kilts and bagpipes with
modern clothes and heavy
metal. Come explore the twisted corners of greedy
minds with the theater’s ultimate
power couple, Lord and Lady Macbeth.

Wonderland!
is James DeVita’s rollicking adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Through the
Looking Glass. With hip-hopping music, it is an upbeat, coming-of-age
story that audiences of all ages will adore! You'll recognize some of your
favorite familiar characters of Alice's Wonderland along with meeting dozens
of new ones: a baseball team, a gospel group called The Responsibilities, a
train conductor, star-struck tourists, clumsy knights and much more.
A high-energy
score with lots of feature opportunities keeps this show moving. The score
ranges from gypsy swing to doo-wop to bluegrass and will have you grinning
like a Cheshire cat!

Join the Wonderland Chorus for
a week of fun!
Students of
all ages who are enrolled in a theatre production with MadCAP during the
summer 2008 season may choose to participate in the Ensemble for
Wonderland! This is an additional performance opportunity and a great
chance to appear on the Drury stage with MadCAP’s most advanced summer
performers.
All students
enrolled in the ‘Wonderland Chorus’ are required to attend all four
performances and all scheduled rehearsals July 21-26. In addition, musical
material must be learned prior to July 21. Supplemental rehearsals will be
available to students enrolled in the ‘Wonderland Chorus’ during the
rehearsals in early July.
