Intervention

Book by Jill Jaysen & Matt  Corriel. Music and lyrics by Matt Corriel

For students who have completed grades 8-12

We all have them…those days where the world seems to be hanging by the very finest thread.

Amy’s in the midst of one right now.  A mid-life crisis, if you will.  Amy has to babysit Adam, and she’s not very happy about it.  Or anything else, for that matter.  Adam overhears her conversation with a friend, and decides it calls for serious action.  Thinking “her friends are grown ups…they’ll know what to do”, he calls together the people in Amy’s life for an Intervention.

As her friends gather together, fight with each other, and ultimately rally, they all learn how to be the  one to fall back on.

This full length musical has a very dense score filled with varying styles.  Featuring 25 full musical numbers and 17 featured soloists, Intervention has something for everyone.  Many of the musical numbers have challenging harmonies reminiscent of Jason Robert Brown’s compositional styles.  Be prepared to work hard!
