Internship Program - volunteering at MadCAP

MadCAP Internship Application

The MadCAP Internship Program provides pre-professional on-the-job training that cannot be duplicated in the classroom.  The purpose of an internship is to provide students with practical experience under the direct supervision and guidance of  MadCAP Teaching Artists and/or Artistic Staff. All internships are considered short-term apprentice opportunities and are therefore unpaid positions.

WHO MAY APPLY FOR AN INTERNSHIP?

Students who are of high school age (entering grades 9-12, age 14+) and have previously participated in a program with MadCAP may apply for an internship. Students who are of college age may apply for an internship without previous MadCAP experience. All internships are unpaid positions.  Applicants facing financial strain are asked to please make a note of this on the reverse side of the application; MadCAP will consider offsetting transportation expenses via an honorarium or other means. To be considered for a paid position with MadCAP (ages 18+ only), please submit a resume and cover letter.  Note that all MadCAP Artist/Educators have college degrees. Positions open to students who have not completed college are limited and do not include a full summer of work.
