MadCAP is pleased to present a multi-level, well-rounded music curriculum for the

entire family. MadCAP's Music Studio offers lessons during the School Year.  To receive more information about next year's studio offerings, please email music@madcap.org.

• MadCAP’s Music Studio offers a highly individualized approach to music education.

Even in group classes and ensembles, students and teaching artists work very closely

together. Individual goals are set by students and teaching artists work to nurture and

inspire students to achieve these goals.

• MadCAP’S sequential and spiral curriculum encourages students to try new things, take

risks artistically, and grow as a person as well as an artist. MadCAP’s highly qualified

faculty uses appropriately equipped facilities for all lessons, classes, ensembles and

performances.

• The Music Studio presents four recitals each year.

School Age ~ Adult Programs

Private Music Lessons (ages 5 through adult)

  • MadCAP’s faculty is committed to providing the best possible educational experience for every student, putting forth challenging material that also fosters a sense of accomplishment. Strong interpersonal relationships are important in nurturing a love of music and development of strong technique and musicianship. MadCAP offers private lessons in piano, voice, woodwinds, and brass.

Instrumental & Vocal Music Classes (ages 6 through adult)

  • These classes are designed for students wishing to begin studying an instrument or voice, and looking for a community learning experience. These classes are similar to semi-private lessons and offer the benefits of both individualized instruction and a community of learners. Group classes are available in VOICE, WOODWINDS, and BRASS. (Please note, group classes are not available for piano.) To enroll in an Instrumental or Vocal Music class, please contact MadCAP at 251-1879 to schedule a placement lesson with a Teaching Artist. This free, no obligation lesson allows time for the students and parents to visit MadCAP and time for the Teaching artists to discover the unique talents and potential of each individual student. Following this session, you will be invited to join a music class that best fits the individual talents of the students.

Joining The MadCAP Music Studio

  • MadCAP Music Studio is open enrollment and available to students of all ages and ability levels. In May of each year, specific times can be reserved for the next school year. Students can also be placed on the waiting list and accepted into the studio as openings become available. Parent orientation sessions assist families in making the most of their experience.

  • MadCAP is a community of dedicated artists, teaching artists, and learners. Choosing such a community in which to study is beneficial in many ways. Support is available not only from staff and administration, but also from peers and fellow students in the programs.

  • Students in private lessons, classes and Chamber Ensembles perform four times each year, either in an informal recital or in a concert setting with other MadCAP Ensembles.
