Scholarship Information and Application

MadCAP’s goal is to make programs accessible to all young people regardless of income level.

Our funding for scholarships and tuition waivers is very small or at times non-existent.  Please check first with school officials to see if funding might be available through your school district.  Another source for scholarships are local non-profits such as Rubin for Kids.

To apply for a scholarship or tuition waiver, please complete and send this form along with the appropriate enrollment form.

Scholarships are generally granted to a participant for one program only.  This makes the program accessible to more young people.

We also ask for two Educator references for all of the applications.  The purpose for the reference is to make certain that MadCAP is the best fit for each participating student.  MadCAP programs are led by professional artist/educators.  Although the artists are chosen because they have excellent teaching skills, most do not have any formal teacher training.  Many of the artist/educators do not have the expertise and resources to work with young people with special needs.

If your child has special needs and is fully integrated into a regular classroom, most likely, they will do well at MadCAP.  If your child receives special programming or an assistant during the school day, please call Joan McCarthy at MadCAP 251-1879.

PLEASE NOTE:

Tuition waivers are available to families that qualify as low income according to the Housing and Urban Development Guidelines.  Please see the back page for information regarding the guidelines and the US Government income levels.
