School of the Arts 2008 ~ 2009
Ensembles meet weekly from September 8, 2008 – May 16, 2009 with breaks for
school holidays. The MadCAP Ensemble Season is divided into four eight week
quarters. Each quarter includes new projects, special events and a culminating
performance. During 2008 - 2009, Ensembles perform concerts in Promenade Hall
at the Overture Center at the end of the first and fourth quarter. During the
third quarter, all of the youth ensembles work together to rehearse and perform
Roald Dahl’s “Willy Wonka” with songs from the film “Willy Wonka and the
Chocolate Factory.” Ensembles are directed by a talented and experienced stage
and musical directors.
Ensembles are filled first come, first served. To save your place in an
ensemble, please print and return this form.
Youth Ensembles for Grades K-8
MadCAP Originals Workshop Ensemble
(grades 3-8)
Join the ensemble that helps refine and polish original musicals created by
MadCAP Each quarter includes a new mini-musical. Meets on Mondays from 4:30-6:00
PM
Beginning Musical Theatre Ensemble
(grades K-2)
The Beginning Ensemble rehearses and performs medleys from favorite Broadway
musicals that feature children. Meets on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00 PM
Junior Musical Theatre Ensemble
(grades 3-5)
The Junior Ensemble rehearses and performs medleys from favorite Broadway
musicals. Meets Thursdays from 4:30-6:00 PM
Opera Ensemble
(grades 3-8)
The Opera Ensemble rehearses and performs an adaptation of a well-known Opera.
Meets Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00 PM
Intermediate Musical Theatre Ensemble
(grades 6-8)
The Intermediate Ensemble chooses their own projects from Boardway to Blues.
Meets Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30 PM

School of the Arts will perform a concert to benefit the Boys and
Girls Club of Baraboo 7:00 PM on Feb 2, 2008 at the Fine Arts Center at
at the UW Baraboo. All proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club.
